Lesson 1: David Is Anointed King
Introduces the time of the kings, Saul’s disobedience, and God’s decision to choose a new king. Students explore how God sent Samuel to Bethlehem and why David, the youngest son of Jesse, was chosen to be anointed as king.

Lesson 2: David Serves King Saul
Follows David’s early life as a shepherd and his service in Saul’s court. Students learn how David used his skills to serve others and how God was with him as he gained favor with Saul.

Lesson 3: Facing Goliath
Examines the standoff between the Israelites and the Philistines in the Valley of Elah. Students discover why the army was afraid of Goliath and how David responded with faith and confidence in God.

Lesson 4: David Defeats Goliath
Focuses on David’s battle with Goliath using a sling and stones. Students learn that victory comes from trusting God rather than relying on strength or weapons.

Lesson 5: Israel Celebrates the Victory
Follows the aftermath of Goliath’s defeat and Israel’s celebration.
