Creation and the Sabbath Bible Workbook is a ready-to-use Bible resource designed especially for Sunday School, homeschool Bible curriculum, and Sabbath teaching. Created for Grades 3-6, this workbook includes a complete lesson plan, clear objectives, key vocabulary, discussion prompts, and an answer key, making it ideal for homeschool families, Sabbath School, Sunday School, co-ops, and classroom settings.
Students journey through the seven days of Creation and closely examine why God set apart the seventh day as holy. Using Genesis 1:1-2:3 and supporting Bible verses, children will learn that the Sabbath is not simply a day of rest, but a day God blessed, sanctified, and made different from all others. Activities guide students to understand biblical concepts such as Shabbat (to cease), holiness (set apart), and God’s example of rest.
This workbook teaches the seventh-day Sabbath, established by God at Creation, beginning at sunset on Friday and ending at sunset on Saturday according to the Bible. The lesson is Scripture-based, helping children understand the Sabbath as the day God set apart from the very beginning.
Each activity reinforces Scripture while helping students think about how the Sabbath was established at Creation and how it can be honored today. By the end of the workbook, students will be able to explain what the Bible teaches about the Sabbath, why it begins at sunset, how it differs from the other six days, and how God’s pattern of work and rest still matters.
