Creation and the Sabbath Workbook is a ready-to-use Bible resource designed for homeschool and classroom teaching. Students will explore the seven days of Creation and study why God set apart the seventh day as holy. Using Genesis 1:1-2:3 and supporting Bible verses, students will learn that the Sabbath is a day that God blessed, sanctified, and made different from the others.
A mix of activities inside the book will help students learn biblical concepts such as Shabbat (to cease), holiness (set apart), and God’s example of rest. Each activity is designed to reinforce Scripture while helping students think about why the Sabbath was established at Creation and how it can be honored today. By the end of the workbook, they'll be able to explain what Torah teaches about the Sabbath, why it begins at sunset, how it differs from the other six days, and how God’s pattern of work and rest still matters.
Created for Grades 3-6, this workbook includes a structured lesson plan with clear objectives, key vocabulary, discussion prompts, and a handy answer key. It teaches the seventh-day Sabbath, established by God at Creation, beginning at sunset on Friday and ending at sunset on Saturday.
