Over the course of 13 lessons, students begin with the account of a wife for Isaac and continue through the story of Jacob and Esau. They will learn about Isaac blessing Jacob, Jacob’s marriages to Leah and Rachel, and his years serving Laban. As the journey unfolds, they will see Jacob return to the land, wrestle with God, and reunite with his brother Esau.
The study then shifts to the life of Joseph. Students will follow his story from his early dreams to being sold into slavery, serving in Potiphar’s house, and eventually rising to a position of authority in Egypt. Each lesson helps children recognize God’s faithfulness and purpose throughout these events.
Every lesson includes a ready-to-use lesson plan with clear objectives and guided teaching prompts, along with a child-friendly Bible summary rooted in Scripture. Discussion questions help reinforce understanding, while a variety of low-prep, hands-on activities, including worksheets, puzzles, map work, creative writing, and crafts, keep students engaged and actively learning.
