Welcome to the Twelve Tribes and the Sabbath Workbook, a ready-to-use Bible study resource for Grades 3-6 designed to help students explore how the twelve tribes of Israel learned to honor the Sabbath during their journey through the wilderness. Using Bible passages from Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, students will discover how the Sabbath was established as one of God’s Appointed Times and how it shaped daily life in the camp of Israel.
Students will learn about the Tabernacle, the Table of Showbread, Sabbath offerings, and how each tribe played a role in worship and obedience. Through Bible reading and hands-on activities, students will see how the Sabbath was a central part of Israel’s covenant with Yahweh and how it taught the Israelites to trust God.
