Welcome to The Kings of Israel Workbook, a ready-to-use Unit Study for Grades 3-6 designed to help students explore how the kings of Israel honored the Sabbath. Using Bible passages from the Torah, 1 and 2 Kings, Chronicles, and the Prophets, students will learn about famous kings like David, Solomon, and later kings, and how their decisions influenced worship in the land.
Through worksheets on the Temple, priestly service, Sabbath offerings, and leadership, students will see how obeying God's commands brought blessing, while disobedience led to division and exile. They'll read how the Sabbath was honored during the time of the Israelite kings, and how it was neglected when the Israelites turned away from Him.
By the end of the workbook, students will be able to explain how the kings of Israel influenced Sabbath worship, why obeying God’s commands mattered, and how these choices influenced the history of the House of Israel. This workbook is part of The Sabbath series, and includes 30 pages of lesson material and activities.
