Welcome to the Remember the Sabbath Day Workbook, a ready-to-use study resource for Grades 3-6 designed to help you teach students how God gave the Ten Commandments to the Israelites at Mount Sinai and why the 4th Commandment calls us to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy (Exodus 19-20).
Students will journey with the Israelites to Mount Sinai and learn how God revealed His commandments, established a covenant with Israel, and set the Sabbath apart as a day of rest. Through close Bible reading and hands-on activities, students will discover that the Sabbath is a command with meaning and relevance for their lives today.

The lesson focuses on key Bible concepts such as holiness, obedience, covenant, rest, and remembrance. Students will explore why the Sabbath was set apart from the other days, how it served as a sign between God and Israel, and how honoring the Sabbath each week is relevant to our lives today.
By the end of the workbook, students will be able to explain what the Ten Commandments are, why God gave the Sabbath commandment, and what it means to remember and keep the Sabbath holy. This workbook contains 26 pages of lesson material and activities.
