After crossing the Jordan River, Joshua and the Israelites faced the tall, strong walls of Jericho, a city blocking their path to the Promised Land. God gave them an unusual plan: march around the city once a day for six days, led by priests blowing shofars, and stay silent the whole time. On the seventh day, they marched around seven times, then shouted with all their might when the shofars blasted.
